Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Art Director is responsible for managing and setting the tone for both online design/development and print media. This role requires extensive skills in visual design, typography, color theory, composition and awareness of consumer marketing trends. Experience or understanding of corporate identity and brand awareness is important. The art director should also have extensive experience developing and coding standards-based CSS / XHTML sites.
Skills and Requirements of Position
- Strong Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver
- Strong CSS / XHTML skills
- Ability to communicate and present creative ideas
- Manage and estimate appropriate creative time for both individual and team projects
- Development of original designs, layouts and concepts for both web projects and print layouts
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Mac proficient and PC capable
- Must be a very effective team player and exhibit a high level of personal responsibility
